NOVACUT 106 is from Bobst, the world’s most popular die-cutter manufacturer. It has been designed with a double cam that makes easier running and gives smooth acceleration and de-acceleration to the gripper bars. The Novacut can die-cut various jobs like folders, wallets, 3D direct mail, cards, menus, envelopes, DVD and CD jackets, tags, bags and many more. One specially designed feature for the 106 is the dynamic opening of the delivery grippers. Traditionally, Bobst kit has opened its delivery gripper bars once the sheet has stopped, but on the 106, the addition of air blowers in the delivery means the lighter-weight sheets, which would normally float down into the delivery stack, are driven positively down. Another feature particularly geared for the commercial market is the ability to register the sheet to either side of the die-cutter. The most crucial part of the post-press activity is the finishing; however, Bobst’s smart engineering has certainly minimized the nicks on the tags, giving printers more attractive finished sheets and the highest standards of quality. It can handle stocks from 80gsm paper to 2,000gsm board and E/F flute upto 4mm thick. Bobst Novacut is surprisingly affordable compared to the performance and quality benefits it brings. Novacut 106 is a very productive machine and gives a real competitive advantage to the commercial printers.
