Epson recently launched in India the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 which is a solvent printer capable of high quality digital printing even on paper and other substrates like canvas and vinyl. the maximum resolution is 1440 dpi which is the highest in the world for a solvent printer. The printing process is completely odorless and environtment friendly. The price of the machine in India is around Rs. 19 lakhs (Rs. 19,00,000). There may be some discount on this price for a serious buyer. The cost per square feet is around Rs.8 to Rs. 10 at 720 dpi. The printing quality is outstanding and as per this date around 23 machines have already been sold in India, that is, within three months of its launch here. The maximum size that the printer prints is 64 inches.
